Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Boiling Springs' Third in Last Four Outings

Boiling Springs hadn't done well against Dorman recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Cavaliers a 3-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Cavaliers back in April, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Boiling Springs let Cloey Taulbee and Myah Salters run wild. Taulbee went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Salters went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs Salters has posted since back in March. Sayde Parris was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Boiling Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dorman, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9-1.

As of now, neither Boiling Springs nor the Cavaliers have any future games scheduled.
