Volleyball Recap: Conant Comes Up Short

Conant lost against Schaumburg last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Saxons by a score of 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Conant sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-17.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Schaumburg, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Conant will face off against rival Palatine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Schaumburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Elk Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
