Softball Recap: Albuquerque Academy Chargers vs. Valley Vikings

Albuquerque Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 11-6 to the Valley Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Albuquerque Academy of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on April 2nd.

Brooklynn Dominguez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

On Valley's side, Alexus Zubia-Olivas made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off 11 hits (and only one walk).
