Marie Philip proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Non Varsity Opponent 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Galloping Ghosts, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Marie Philip took Non Varsity Opponent into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 20-25, 25-12, 15-7.

Kai Gabriel paced Marie Philip's offense, picking up nine kills. Gabriel got some help from Vanessa Danoue and her six assists. Gabriel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Marie Philip's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-1.

Looking ahead, Marie Philip will take on Newman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Non Varsity Opponent has already played their next match (against Shipley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
