Volleyball Game Preview: Spooner Rails vs. Ladysmith Lumberjacks

Spooner hasn't had much luck against Ladysmith recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rails will be playing at home against the Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Spooner came up short against Hayward and fell 3-1.

Spooner might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Hayward: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 25-22, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Ladysmith came up short against St. Croix Falls on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Lumberjacks have struggled against the Saints recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Ladysmith took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-22.

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Ladysmith, their loss dropped their record down to 12-22.
