Soccer Recap: East River Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East River can now relate to. They fell just short of the Heritage Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

East River has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-1 record this season. As for Heritage, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 2-15-1 record.

East River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage, they will challenge Viera at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
