Basketball Recap: Balboa Roughriders vs. Minnesota Preparation Academy, TRIP Diplomat Lions
Balboa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Minnesota Preparation Academy, TRIP Diplomat Lions. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Roughriders came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 24th in Florida, while the Diplomat Lions are ranked 162nd in Minnesota).
Several Roughriders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short.
