Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Park). They came out on top against the Cypress Lakes Spartans by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Tigers with their most commanding win of the season.

David Sandoval spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Cypress Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Roewe, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run marked the first that Roewe scored this season.

Cypress Park's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Cypress Lakes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Cypress Park will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cypress Lakes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
