Recap: M.L. King Lions vs. Decatur Bulldogs
The M.L. King Lions''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 24-6 fall against Decatur. M.L. King has struggled against Decatur recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Decatur found their leader in underclassman Darius White, who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Tre'vyon Webb got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
M.L. King's loss was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.4 points per game. As for Decatur, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
M.L. King does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Decatur will head out on the road to face off against Ware County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ware County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Decatur in Georgia (Ware County is ranked 35th, while Decatur is ranked 213th).
