Basketball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Jordan-Matthews lost against Cummings back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jordan-Matthews Jets fell 59-51 to the Cummings Cavaliers.

Jordan-Matthews lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sean Price, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Price a new career-high. Kamarie Hadley was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Isaiah Long was nothing short of spectacular for Cummings: he went 10 of 20 on his way to 24 points along with three steals and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of William Dawson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Jordan-Matthews' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Cummings, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Jordan-Matthews didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-31 defeat against Chatham Central on the 10th. As for Cummings, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-39 win against Bartlett Yancey on the 10th.
