Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Garfield's Third in Last Four Outings

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Garfield and South East, and Garfield kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.

Garfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for South East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-17.

Garfield will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Jaguars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
