Softball Recap: Thornwell Comes Up Short

Thornwell lost against Abbeville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Saints lost 13-5 to the Panthers. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madi Landrith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those doubles were her first of the season. Karleigh Porter was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Thornwell now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Abbeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Thornwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Abbeville, they will welcome Ware Shoals at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season.
