Soccer Recap: Pope John Paul II Falls to Green Hill in First Game of Season

Pope John Paul II had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Green Hill Hawks by a score of 1-0. Pope John Paul II were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Green Hill apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Green Hill's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pope John Paul II will venture away from home to take on Page at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Green Hill, they will head out to challenge Cookeville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
