Volleyball Recap: Bishop Canevin Takes a Loss

Bishop Canevin was the 3-1 winner over Brentwood when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Crusaders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 25-18 in the first set.

Bishop Canevin took Brentwood into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-17, 25-22, 16-25, 15-9.

Bishop Canevin has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Brentwood, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Bishop Canevin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against South Fayette on the 17th. Brentwood has also already played their next contest (against Serra Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
