Volleyball Recap: Clearview Comes Up Short

Clearview lost against Wellington back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clippers came up short against the Dukes, falling 3-0.

While Clearview was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Wellington's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-7, 25-12.

Wellington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauren Vannatter out in front who had five digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Vannatter a new career-high. Alexandria Mills was another key player, getting 11 digs and three assists.

Clearview's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Wellington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Clearview will take on Columbia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wellington, they will challenge First Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
