            Rolling Meadows hasn't had much luck against Hersey recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies  at 4:45  p.m. Rolling Meadows is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3  runs per game  this season.
Rolling Meadows' pitching crew heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lake Forest as they made off with  a  15-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the  contest before.

 Iris Jordan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Mary Linker, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Caylee Del Boccio, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Rolling Meadows was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .421. They are 3-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Meanwhile,  Hersey unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Monday. They took  a  9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elk Grove.
 With the  win, Rolling Meadows broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9. As for Hersey, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
 Rolling Meadows suffered a grim  14-2 defeat to Hersey  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
