Football Recap: Monsignor Pace Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Monsignor Pace and Edison squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Monsignor Pace had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Red Raiders 34-0. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Imani Davis threw for 82 yards on ten of 20 attempts. Aleaijah Russel was her top target, picking up 40 receiving yards.

Rakyia Louis had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 231 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of her passes for Edison. Louis has been hot, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last five times she's played.

Monsignor Pace moved to 8-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Edison, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Monsignor Pace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edison, they have already played their next game, a 33-0 victory against Sports Leadership & Management on the 1st.
