Basketball Recap: North Bend Comes Up Short

If North Bend was riding high fresh off their 59-36 takedown of Cottage Grove last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Bend Bulldogs took a hard 57-39 fall against the Marist Spartans on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

North Bend's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Marist, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Bend will venture away from home to square off against Marshfield at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Marshfield will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something North Bend surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marist, they will face off against Cottage Grove at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Marist is facing Cottage Grove at the right time seeing as Cottage Grove is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
