Softball Recap: Howell Highlanders vs. Harper Creek Beavers
On Saturday, the Howell Highlanders were able to grind out a solid win over the Harper Creek Beavers, taking the game 9-5.
Brooke Keller made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Keller was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.
In other batting news, Leighton Scott was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Ava Bunting was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Howell's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Harper Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
