Football Recap: Heritage Generals vs. LaFayette Ramblers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They breezed by the LaFayette Ramblers to the tune of 50-7 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Generals also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2019.
A big part of Heritage's win came down to the chemistry between Caden Hight and his top target Cody Bryan. Hight threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing while Bryan picked up 111 receiving yards and a touchdown. Bryan's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 111 receiving yards.
Heritage pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for LaFayette, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Calhoun the next time they take the field. Heritage will head out to face Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while LaFayette will host them at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.
