Doniphan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 71-47 margin over the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders. For the Dons, this counts as revenge for the 75-33 win the Crusaders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Doniphan's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8. As for Saxony Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Doniphan will venture away from home to face off against Neelyville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Doniphan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Neelyville likes a good challenge. As for Saxony Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 loss against Newburg on the 1st.
