Football Recap: Andrews' Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

Andrews and Burnet squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Andrews had to settle for second. The game between the Mustangs and the Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Mustangs falling 21-7. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Josiah Coronado had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 104 yards and two TDs, while also picking up 41 receiving yards and one touchdown for Burnet. Coronado has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-5 otherwise.

With the defeat, Andrews broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-6. As for Burnet, they moved to 4-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Andrews does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burnet, they will be playing at home against Randall at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' defense has only allowed 13.5 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
