Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest and Catawba Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Hillcrest had to settle for second. They lost 4-0 to the Copperheads. Considering the last time Hillcrest couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Catawba Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Catawba Ridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Catawba Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
