Miami Beach's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

The Miami Beach Hi-Tides were the 63-48 winner over the American Patriots when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Miami Beach received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 80-64 to American. Miami Beach just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.

American was led to victory by Kennith Johnson and Quentin Bush. Johnson scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Bush scored 24 points along with six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bush has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrius Black, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.

Miami Beach's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5. As for American, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.

Miami Beach will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Carol City at 7:30 p.m. Carol City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 559th, while Miami Beach is ranked 250th). As for American, they will head out on the road to face off against West Broward at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
