The Rondout Valley Ganders will head out on the road to square off against the Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Rondout Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Rondout Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Saugerties and fell 4-3.

Ella Schoonmaker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Joleigh Kozack made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of Lourdes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Wallkill.

Our Lady of Lourdes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Rondout Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
