Andrew is 6-1 against Stagg since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Thunderbolts will face off against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Andrew will be strutting in after a victory while Stagg will be coming in after a defeat.

Andrew's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Hammond Central to the tune of 52-0. That 52 point margin sets a new team best for the Thunderbolts this season.

Meanwhile, Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 40-6 defeat at the hands of Bradley-Bourbonnais. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Boilermakers are ranked 39th).

The win made it two in a row for Andrew and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points over those games. As for Stagg, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Andrew against Stagg in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, as the squad secured a 41-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderbolts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
