 The Scotts Valley Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Soquel Knights at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Scotts Valley has five straight  wins, Soquel has 17 straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Scotts Valley gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  a  16-3 margin over Harbor. Scotts Valley's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Sofie Seese looked comfortable as she  struck out seven batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Scotts Valley let  Jazzy Doubek and  Ellen Eagle loose on the outfield. Doubek  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2, while  Eagle  went 2-for-2 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run.  Gracie Delgado was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Soquel suffered a  rough 15-1 defeat at the hands of Aptos  on Tuesday.
 Scotts Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Soquel, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
