Jacob Woolley touchdown run, a touchdown pass by
Jack Drechsler to
Marcus Ross and a
Sam Bradford touchdown pass to Drechsler in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a two-point conversion in the first quarter, FWT was up 32-0 at the half.
The Fort Worth school expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. The Riders scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Woolley.
Fort Worth THESA has struggled this season, allowing 45.4 points per game. However, Fort Worth THESA's defense dug in and limited the FireBirds well below their season average of 36.0 points per game.
The loss comes after Phoenix Charter defeated King's Academy 44-14 last week. The win brought Fort Worth THESA's winning streak to four games.
Phoenix Charter (4-4) will play a non-conference game against ROMEO Preparatory Academy next week, while Fort Worth THESA (5-3) will take on Tyler HEAT also in a non-conference game.
