North Hollywood hadn't done well against Poly recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Parrots. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Parrots two weeks ago, they had to take a 9-0 loss.

Not much got past Ben Balsam, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Poly off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nick Park, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for North Hollywood and bumps their season record up to 3-19. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Poly, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-8 record this season.

North Hollywood has already played their next contest, an 11-0 defeat against San Fernando on the 8th. As for Poly, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Verdugo Hills on the 8th.
