Basketball Recap: Natrona County Comes Up Short

Natrona County was the 45-29 winner over Star Valley when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Natrona County Mustangs took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Star Valley Braves on Saturday. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Leading Star Valley to victory were Emily Dana and Ruby Hill. Dana posted ten points and eight rebounds, while Hill earned six points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Hill a new career-high in assists (three). Torrie White was another key player, putting up four points.

Natrona County dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Star Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Coming up, Natrona County will welcome Rock Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Star Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Evanston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
