Baseball Recap: Hull Takes a Loss

Hull extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-6. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Shore Vo-Tech Vikings. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for South Shore Vo-Tech, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.

For South Shore Vo-Tech's part, the team relied heavily on Jim Shannon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those three hits gave Shannon a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hull will head out to square off against Cohasset at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Shore Vo-Tech, they will take on Upper Cape Cod RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
