Basketball Recap: Culpeper County Comes Up Short

Culpeper County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Eastern View Cyclones, falling 81-56. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Cyclones are ranked 82nd).

Culpeper County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Eastern View, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Culpeper County will face off against Brentsville District at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastern View, they and Spotsylvania will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Eastern View's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
