Hickory Grove Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Union Academy since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Union Academy took on Piedmont on Tuesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Panthers, falling 60-35. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Hickory Grove Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Union Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Hickory Grove Christian beat Union Academy 77-70 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
