Russell proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by seven) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the North Laurel Jaguars. Winning may never get old, but Russell sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

They hit North Laurel with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gunnar Hignite, Ryder Prickett, Brylee Mullins, and Trey Evans.

Russell's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for North Laurel, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

Russell wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Whitley County on the 16th. North Laurel has also already played their next matchup (against George Rogers Clark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
