Recap: Gholson vs. Abbott Panthers
Gholson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They suffered a rough 56-31 defeat at the hands of Abbott. Gholson lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head on January 5th, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 81-18 score last time.
Gholson got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Hunter Nors and
Lane Kunkel, who each put up six points.
Gholson has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Abbott, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5.
Gholson will square off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Oglesby's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches. As for Abbott, they will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aquilla is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
