Soccer Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Comes Up Short

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the Weslaco Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 530th, while the Panthers are ranked 151st).

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-2. As for Weslaco, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-1-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will face off against Edinburg North at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Edinburg North will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last. As for Weslaco, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Weslaco take on the Edinburg at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
