The Immaculate Mustangs will square off against the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Immaculate is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
On Monday, Immaculate came up short against Notre Dame Prep and fell 5-1.

Maddie Costa put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Kolbe-Cathedral posted their closest victory since May 19, 2025 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Harding, sneaking past 14-13. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Presidents: they've now won eight in a row.
Like Immaculate, Kolbe-Cathedral also got a great game from a two-way player: Tyiana Conquest. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and 11 unearned) runs off six hits. Conquest was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kolbe-Cathedral got a massive performance out of Jaylynn Benjamin, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Benjamin a new career-high. Samantha Galarza was another key player, going 1-for-3 with five stolen bases and two runs.
Kolbe-Cathedral kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Immaculate's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Immaculate got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Kolbe-Cathedral by a conclusive 16-1 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
