Maple Heights has gone a perfect 4-0 against Garfield Heights recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Maple Heights comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Bedford hit Maple Heights with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs lost 11-4 to the Bearcats. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring match to date.

Garfield Heights not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 19, 2024 (when they won 26-8). They put the hurt on Warrensville Heights with a sharp 16-7 victory.

Garfield Heights' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Maple Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Maple Heights' way against Garfield Heights when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Maple Heights made off with a 13-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
