Softball Recap: Clovis Takes a Loss

Clovis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clovis West Golden Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by just one run.

Clovis' loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Clovis West, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-7-1 record.

Coming up, Clovis will face off against Central at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clovis West, they will square off against Clovis North at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Golden Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
