Basketball Game Preview: Kenton Wildcats vs. Lima Senior Spartans

Kenton is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Lima Senior is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Kenton Wildcats will host the Lima Senior Spartans at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Kenton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Kenton is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Defiance: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Kenton blew Defiance out of the water with a 62-27 final score. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lima Senior was able to grind out a solid victory over Shawnee on Monday, taking the game 58-47. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Indians are ranked 395th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lima Senior has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Kenton, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
