Volleyball Recap: Paideia Academy Comes Up Short

If Paideia Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Temple Academy on September 2nd, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Paideia Academy took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Knoxville Christian on Monday. Paideia Academy has struggled against Knoxville Christian recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

While Paideia Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21.

Peyton Smith was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs and four aces.

Paideia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Knoxville Christian, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Paideia Academy will face off against Apostolic Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Knoxville Christian, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Varsity Opponent on the 29th.
