Basketball Recap: Grafton Comes Up Short

Grafton suffered their closest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the York Falcons by a score of 55-53. The Clippers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 66-44.

When it comes to explaining why Grafton lost, don't look at Elijah Tisdale. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Tisdale a new career-high in boards. Aiden Mills also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Grafton now has a losing record of 10-11. As for York, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-14.

Coming up, Grafton will take on Jamestown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for York, they will venture away from home to square off against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
