Football Game Preview: Bland County Bears vs. Montcalm Generals

The Bland County Bears will head out to take on the Montcalm Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bland County will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Bland County was handed a 32-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past Twin Valley 52-50. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Montcalm got themselves on the board against Richwood on Friday, but Richwood never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over the Lumberjacks. The win continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Lumberjacks: they've now won three in a row.

Bland County picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Montcalm, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Bland County was dealt a bruising 46-6 loss at the hands of Montcalm in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
