Baseball Recap: Falkville Comes Up Short

Falkville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 16-5 to the Holly Pond Broncos. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in March of 2019.

Bryant Owens made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Falkville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Holly Pond, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-22.

Looking ahead, Falkville will head out to challenge Athens Bible at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Holly Pond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
