Basketball Recap: Beatrice Comes Up Short

Beatrice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt an 80-27 loss at the hands of the Norris Titans. The game marked the Orangemen's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norris to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Bornschlegl, who went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points. That's the most points Bornschlegl has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Thomas Hansmeyer, who made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points and six rebounds.

Beatrice's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Norris, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beatrice will square off against Wahoo at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Norris, they will take on Gretna at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Norris' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
