Basketball Recap: Brooks Comes Up Short

Brooks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lamar County Bulldogs.

Brooks' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Lamar County, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Brooks Lions take on the Central Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Lamar County, they and Shoals Christian will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
