Soccer Game Preview: West Forsyth vs. Southwest Guilford

The West Forsyth Titans will take on the Southwest Guilford Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. West Forsyth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

West Forsyth's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Mount Tabor by a score of 2-0.

Leigha Curry and Reese Williams scored both of West Forsyth's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Meanwhile, Southwest Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Bishop McGuinness. That's two games in a row now that Southwest Guilford have lost by just one goal.

West Forsyth's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight matches. As for Southwest Guilford, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1.
