Dos Pueblos is a perfect 5-0 against Oxnard since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Dos Pueblos Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Oxnard Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Oxnard took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Dos Pueblos, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Dos Pueblos got the win against Buena by a conclusive 3-0. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Dos Pueblos took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-4, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Oxnard didn't have quite enough to beat Ventura on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Oxnard sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-15, 20-25, 15-13.

Dos Pueblos will have to contain Jacob Liporada as he made an impact in Oxnard's last game. He had 25 digs and three assists. The dominant performance gave Liporada a new career-high in assists. Jacob Ullrich also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Oxnard's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Dos Pueblos, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Everything went Dos Pueblos' way against Oxnard in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Dos Pueblos made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dos Pueblos since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
