Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maize). They never let the South Titans get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Tuesday. Give Maize's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Maize's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for South, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11-1.

Looking ahead, Maize is taking a road trip to face off against Maize South on Thursday. As for South, they will be playing at home against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Thursday.
