Soccer Game Preview: Pine vs. Berean Christian

The Pine Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Berean Christian Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pine can't be too worried about heading out to take on Berean Christian: they just beat South Fork at home, who had been dominant on their own pitch up to that point. Pine's defense stepped up to hand South Fork a 4-0 shutout on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Knights who have now won five matches in a row.

They hit South Fork with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jo?o Pedro De Brito, Eric Lefort, James Haffey, and Benjamin Blanco.

Meanwhile, Berean Christian waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Blue Devils. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 563rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Berean Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those nine matches. As for Pine, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
